Alternergy launches Solana Solar Project

Alternergy Holdings Corporation on Wednesday launched the Solana Solar Project today with a groundbreaking ceremony in Barangay Balsik, Hermosa.

This 28-megawatt solar power initiative, held on July 31, 2024, marks a significant step towards enhancing renewable energy capacity in the region and supporting the Philippines’ sustainable development goals.

Key figures at the event include Alternergy President Gerry P. Magbanua, NGCP District 5 Head Fernando Guillen, and Bataan Governor Jose Enrique Joet Garcia III. Local leaders such as Hermosa Mayor Antonio Joseph “Jopet” Rivera Inton, Provincial Board Member Tony Roman III and Barangay Balsik’s Punong Barangay Amado “Bida” Roncal also attended, expressing strong support for the project.

Governor Garcia and Mayor Inton both underscored the local government’s commitment to environmental protection and sustainable growth. The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from Michael James Lichtenfeld, President of Solar Pacific Energy Corporation, who expressed gratitude for the community’s enthusiastic support.

Mayor Inton told newsmen here that the Solana Solar Project represents a crucial advancement in Bataan’s renewable energy landscape, aiming to provide a cleaner environment and more affordable electricity. This initiative showcases Alternergy Holdings Corporation’s dedication to paving the way for a sustainable and eco-friendly future in the province.
